Ricard Anise

Ricard is a French anise-flavored liqueur, or pastis, known for its distinctive yellow color, bold flavor of star anise and licorice, and aromatic herbs. Created in 1932, its secret, unaltered recipe features star anise from China, Syrian licorice, and Provençal herbs. Traditionally served mixed with five parts cold water, it transforms into a cloudy, milky "French milk" with a refreshing, complex, and bittersweet taste.
