The notes shows a complex bouquet of black fruits and varietal herbs. Blood plum, blackcurrant, anise and fresh thyme with a glimpse of purple flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with a juicy core of ripe fruit flavors. Integrated French oak notes complement the seamless powdery tannins giving rise to a long a satisfying palate.

This is a rich, somewhat oak-forward vintage of Phoenix. The plush blackberry, mint and peppery spice is overlain by the vanilla-chocolate barrel influence. Tannins are powerful but fine and spice laden, adding gravitas to an otherwise easy-drinking, tangy Cab with regional and varietal expression.
