Château Pey-Martin Medoc 2020

This is an excellent example of Médoc at a nice price. Made of 50% Cabernet, 40% Merlot and 10% Cab Franc, the wine is a ruby purple color with aromas of ripe black cherries, kirsch liqueur and graphite. Deep, dark and lovely, the wine is dry and taut with medium body, firm tannins, flavorful black raspberry fruit flavors and earthy notes of cedar and slate. Still quite young, the wine finishes tight – give this wine some time to unwind. This is an excellent find in Bordeaux for under $20. Enjoy!
