Domaine de la Chanteleuserie Bourgueil Cuvee Beauvais 2022

This old vine Bourgueil (“boor-guy”) made from Cabernet Franc is an incredible value.  The wine has a ruby-purple color and fragrant aromas of black cherries, violets, kirsch and earth.  Medium-bodied with sturdy tannins, this young wine is full of dark, tangy fruit flavors with a rich texture and a beautiful finish.  This is a wine of exceptional character and distinction for the price.  Bourgueil is also among the most age-worthy of the Loire Valley’s reds so cellar a couple of bottles to enjoy in a couple of years.
