The Rust en Vrede Estate lies south of Stellenbosch, nestled on the lower slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, a warmer microcosm in the area, which is why they specialise in red wines. 

Alison Napjus of Wine Spectator rated this wine 91 points.  “A broad red, this reveals plum, cherry, earth, tobacco and black pepper flavors backed by dense tannins, with a moderately long, fresh finish. Sangiovese and Merlot.  Best from 2024 through 2037.  13,250 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.”  (June 30, 2023).
