Joe Czerwinski of Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate rated this wine 90 points.  “Pine Ridge now comprises 160 acres of vineyards, 47 of which are in the Stags Leap District, near the winery and where founder Gary Andrus purchased a ranch house and approximately 50 acres of land in 1978.  The blended 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon incorporates fruit from five AVAs and is about one-third purchased fruit.  Marked by black cherries and cassis fruit, it's a full-bodied, soft and lush effort that shows ample richness and texture.  It easily handles the 50% new oak (a mix of French and American).”  (Oct. 17, 2024).
