An unusually detailed and filigree and deft and complex wine, more than everything that a N.V. Blanc de Blancs can be. There's a wonderful lacy mélange of balsam, chalk, green tea, wintergreen, peony, with fine diction.

The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay Premier Cru Cuis is all citrus, flowers and stone fruits. This pure, beautifully sculpted Champagne flows with layers of flavor on a sinewy, mid-weight frame. The finish is long and well-articulated if perhaps just a bit austere. The Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay Premier Cru Cuis is 100% Chardonnay Cuis, based on 2007, with reserve wines from 2006, 2005 and 2004. Disgorged May 28, 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016.
