White Wines are lighter in flavor and body than other wines making them ideal for warm weather occasions, aperitifs and many lighter food pairings. It's old fashioned, but the advice "white wine with white meat" still applies. White wines go well with shellfish, fish or white meats. The acidity of white wine works well with salty or fatty dishes like stews. Lighter White Wines are an excellent aperitif for any meal. Cheeses like goat, sheep or any rind washed cheese are excellent with White Wines. White Wines also pair well with with fruity desserts.
