With distinctive aromatics of white floral, Meyer lemon, green apple, and wet stone, this dry Chenin is vivid and lively. In the mouth, flavors burst forward with Anjou pear, magnolia, lime, and citrus custard, offset by a remarkable note of salinity. The wine is snappy and interesting, carrying through to a flavorful and vibrant mouth-watering finish.

The 2019 Chenin Blanc Old Vines begins with a vibrant and floral nose, opening to aromas of white peach, sweet citrus, green apple and underripe pear, plus pineapple tones with a soft dusty minerality. Medium-bodied, the wine is expressive on the palate with lively acidity, a citrus-laced mouthfeel and balanced structure. Concluding with a lingering finish, a persistent and energetic acidity remains with a citrus blossom essence. This wine may represent the best value in all of Washington State.

A Vouvray-style Chenin done in stainless steel; the fruit was picked at an average Brix level of 21.6 degrees at the end of the harvest just before rain): Very pale, bright yellow. Lively aromas of pear, lime and spearmint, plus hints of talc and lanolin. Juicy, fruity and supple, offering a lovely touch of sweetness (actually just 2.3 grams per liter) and easygoing fruit flavors of surprising ripeness. Spreads out to saturate the palate on the fairly dry, minty, slightly tart back end. This wine struck me as bit less gripping and tightly wound than the 2018 bottling at the same stage. May go honeyed with bottle aging.
