From Castellina in Chianti, the youthful magenta-colored 2021 Chianti Classico has a lovely floral bouquet with aromas of kirsch, violets, and mossy earth. Medium-bodied and fleshy, with good ripeness in its tannins and fruit and modest acidity, this is a nice, juicy Chianti that will benefit from another 6 months to a year in bottle and drink well 2025-2045.

The 2021 Chianti Classico is a very pretty wine from La Leccia. It offers up scents of sweet pipe tobacco, dried herbs, game, iron, mint, licorice and cedar. This mid-weight, aromatic Chianti Classico delivers plenty of charm in a decidedly savory, animalistic style. It spent three months in cask, then finished its aging in cement.
