Erin Brooks of Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate rated this wine 91 points. “The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with a small portion of Petit Verdot and was matured for 18 months in 40% new French oak. It has slowly unfurling aromas of blackcurrant, maraschino cherry, cigar box, pencil shavings and violet. The medium-bodied palate has a core of ripe yet understated, mineral-laced fruit. It has a frame of grainy tannins, seamless acidity and a long, floral finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in bottle.” (Jan. 31, 2023).
Vinous

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards in Paso Robles, is bright and punchy, with plenty of forward dark fruit. A touch of savoriness from the 10% Petit Verdot and a hint of sweetness from the French oak add layers of complexity and dimension. This is another gorgeous wine from Louisa Lindquist and Verdad.

Hailing from the Whale Rock and Jack Knife vineyards and including 10% Petit Verdot, this is a lively style of Cab, proving elegant and energized, rather than ripe and dense. Aromas of cherry and blackberry are vivid on the snappy nose, while the medium-bodied palate offers light herb, cigar box and baked-berry flavors.
