Grimm Artisanal Ales Ambient Fizz: Raspberries

Our award-winning Ambient Fizz series is the best thing we can imagine drinking as the weather warms up - true barrel-aged spontaneous ale brewed and blended with lambic techniques, but in a can at a crushable session ale strength (4.5%)! Like our Open Work series, the Ambient Fizz beers are brewed with a painstakingly traditional process including a turbid mash and four-hour boil. Our practice of allowing the beer to be inoculated exclusively with ambient microbes from the brewery air requires a dash of good luck and an act of faith in providence. Blended from 1- and 2-year-aged oak barrels and then refermented on ripe raspberries, this deep purple quencher boasts complex fruity, tart and funky flavors that only time and careful blending can provide. These beers can be consumed fresh, but they also age gracefully.
